MEDCALFS THE STUDIO MEXBOROUGH

Whitsuntide, Mexboro’, 1928.

This possibly shows what looks like Whitsuntide gathering down Glasshouse Lane. Thanks to Irene for nailing this location. UPDATE . I have had other suggestions of this location. Note the HUGE doorway, and the slopping road, also the shop at the back has a glass cabinet display and appears to be a photographer. Not many more clues but it IS Mexborough around 1910-15. Come on, nail this location!

Somewhere in Mexboro

Once again another postcard by Medcalf of Mexbro - another celebration... Whitsuntide maybe??, any have any idea what was happening here.  It does appear to be the Mexbro Town football stand.

Somewhere in Mexboro

A wonderful postcard showing the Mexbro Football team way back in 1922-23 season, this was produced by the local Mexborough photographer 'MEDCALF'. Can anyone name these players?.
